Gratitude Day 30 - Queen of Chores

Dear Friends,
Last night I tackled the Queen of chores - organising the handbag! On top of two wallets, a pair of socks, some empty plastic bags, candy wrappers, invoices, receipts, multitude of business cards of people I never had any intention of calling, hair clip, paper clips, paint chip, fabric swatch and other "necessities" one might find in a woman's purse, sat a beautiful poem! I had scribbled it on the back of the card of a Suzanne Blaine. Don't ask! I have no idea who she is and why her card is in my possession. Most alarming though, is the fact that I don't recall when and where I have seen or heard these few verses:
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering.
There is a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in.
This morning I'm grateful to be carrying a much lighter handbag. However, I'm mostly grateful to be reminded to embrace the imperfections in myself and in others, especially in my students.
Have a luminous day everyone!
