Dear Friends,
Many years ago I read the book The Celestine Prophecy. One aspect of this interesting book maintains that all occurrences have meanings and all people carry messages for each other. If you believe (I do!), look and listen carefully (I do, I do!) and recognise the signs (I do that too!) you will be able to follow your path to enlightenment (I'm getting there on the slow train!) Last night my belief in this notion that some might call "Mambo, Jumbo!" was reaffirmed.
After a long conversation with my sister (Toronto-New York), I asked her a rhetorical question; what shall I be grateful for tomorrow. "You should be grateful for me!" She replied. Once I put the phone down I said to myself, no can't do! My sister has played a few numbers on me that I had not been able to forgive or forget. As I was flipping through the channels looking for inspiration, I stopped at Oprah's Life Classes. The topic of the program was "letting go of the grudges!
So here I am this morning being grateful for my sister. I had let my anger and disappointments overshadow her "goodness." I am grateful she always listens, never judges. I am touched she calls me her sole confidant and allows me to enjoy a great relationship with my nieces.
This morning, I'm also grateful to all the "enlightening" people, books, articles and programs. They might seem "cheesy" to many, but I believe they have the ability to reach so many and make a difference.
