Dear Friends,
As some of you might have noticed already, I'm not at work today. As I am getting ready to go to my GP and get a handful of the inevitable antibiotics for what I suspect is "sinusitis,", I realise that I have to dig deep to post a gratitude. Somehow, pain and gratitude, unlike lemon and tequila, don't mix well together! However, I also realise that one can always fall back on the concept of "it can be worse," and find a blessing.
When I was going to school, working in dress shops and raising a family, taking a "sick day" was a luxury I could not afford. In those days, the race between "time and money" was always on. Today, I'm very grateful that my job offers me "sick days" and I can take one to nurse my pain without having to worry about the size of my pay.
