Dear Friends,
It’s no secret that I’m
electronically challenged! It was really embarrassing to fill out the IT
questionnaire. (1. No! 2. No, and no! 3. Probably not! 4. Not really!)
I can only turn on and off a
monitor, type (with one finger), save, send and delete (with the same finger.)
Sometimes, if I put my mind to it, I can forward the right message to the right
recipient. So, obviously I am extremely
grateful to Maryann for teaching me how to access our place of network from
home. It took me a while to appreciate that I could do more than just read the
messages over the weekend! Finally, I “educated” myself further, by figuring
out how to write and save in the draft box! Who says old dogs don’t learn new
tricks?!
Yesterday, thanks to two of my colleagues (it took two people to do the job) I learnt how to e-mail myself
(I didn’t know my work address!)
I know it’s too funny to be
true! But it is! Tomorrow, you can read the conclusion of Educating Lili! In
the meantime, I remain grateful to all my “teachers” for taking the time to
push me into the 21st century!
